Legacy Equipment

What We Offer

When original manufacturer support ends or spare parts become scarce, aging controls equipment doesn’t have to mean unplanned downtime. We service and maintain legacy PLCs, CNCs, drives, HMIs, and proprietary OEM controllers — keeping your existing systems running reliably while you plan your next move. Our legacy equipment services include:

Service Details
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

Fault diagnosis on aging and discontinued control systems where the original manufacturer’s service knowledge is limited or unavailable. We work with proprietary OEM controllers, legacy CNC platforms, and end-of-life PLCs and drives — bringing the controls expertise your plant maintenance team may no longer have access to.

Backup, archiving, and recovery of PLC programs, HMI applications, drive parameters, and CNC data from legacy systems. When a controller fails and the original program was never backed up — or the only copy is on a floppy disk in someone’s desk — we extract, convert, and secure it so you’re never one hardware failure away from losing your process.

Sourcing of replacement components for discontinued and end-of-life control systems — from legacy PLCs and I/O modules to obsolete drives, power supplies, and operator panels. When OEM parts are no longer available or carry long lead times and high costs, we leverage our supply chain to find what you need and keep your equipment running.

Scheduled and on-call maintenance for legacy control systems that are still in active production. We provide the ongoing engineering support your equipment needs — firmware management, preventive checks, fault resolution, and documentation updates — so aging systems stay reliable even when the original manufacturer has moved on.

When maintaining legacy equipment is no longer practical, we help you plan the transition. We assess your current system, document what needs to be preserved, and develop a phased upgrade path that accounts for your budget, downtime constraints, and operational priorities — so you move to modern controls on your terms, not because something broke.

Our Process

System Assessment

A lot of plants don’t fully know what they’re running until something fails. We start by documenting your legacy equipment — what hardware and software versions you have, what condition they’re in, what’s backed up and what isn’t, and where the biggest risks are. This gives you a clear picture of where you stand and what needs attention first.

Stabilization & Risk Reduction

The immediate priority is reducing your exposure. That means backing up programs, securing spare parts for critical components, and addressing any known vulnerabilities that could take a system down without warning. The goal is to buy you time and options — not force a decision.

Ongoing Support

For equipment that needs to keep running, we provide scheduled maintenance and on-call troubleshooting to keep legacy systems operational. We become the knowledge base your plant lost when the original OEM pulled support — available when things break and proactive about preventing issues before they happen.
